Castellamare di Stabia: the most uncomfortable place for nudists

In Europe, there are towns in which nudists are better not to appear. Recently, such places have been joined by Castellamare di Stabia, which stretches on the coast of the Gulf of Naples near the Sorrento Peninsula.

In a tiny town, nudity is not just prohibited - strict restrictions on wearing clothes are introduced here. The mayor's order has already entered into force. Now in Castellamare di Stabia, it is forbidden to wear revealing mini-skirts, from under which underwear peeks out. The" black list " also includes low-cut sweatshirts, jeans (the prohibited criterion is a low waist), naked torsos of men.

This does not exhaust the list of "atrocities" of the Neapolitan mayor. "This is not Majorca," Luigi Bobbio stressed. And he imposed a taboo on public football classes in gardens and recreational areas, and also banned public sunbathing on the beach. Disobedient persons will be fined 500 euros.

In fact, the very existence of beaches in the resort (once) town has lost its meaning. The flow of tourists going to rest in Castellamare di Stabia is catastrophically drying up. The irony of fate is that Naples and its surroundings have been the center of fashion trends in Italy for many years. Now, thanks to the efforts of Luigi Bobbio, this region will be remembered by tourists for retrograde habits and trampling on the rights to self-expression.

Bobbio himself, however, considers this act a manifestation of" prudence "and"common sense". In his opinion, girls in mini-skirts will interfere with cultural events and distract the attention of well-bred fathers of families.

The mayor did not get support from Italian women. Representatives of the fair sex immediately after the publication of the unprecedented decree organized a protest demonstration in front of the city administration building. However, the protesters preferred not to flash their long legs - still, 500 euros in their pocket is not superfluous.

The human rights defenders have not yet managed to get Bobbio to reconsider his decision. Since 2010, the tourist business in Castellamar has cracked.
