The difference between eroticism and porn

People have been thinking about the fine line separating eroticism and porn since ancient times. Indeed, why do some images awaken animal lust in a person, while others elevate our mind? Why does the law prohibit porn videos and completely allows for the presence of beautiful erotica in your collection?

A little history

The first meeting of the rainbow tribes was held in 1972 in Colorado, more than 20 thousand people participated in it. The trend was gaining momentum and gradually reached its peak. At the beginning of the last century, eroticism migrated to silent films. The 30s were a real revolution in the Puritan worldview of Europeans. Nude nature triumphantly marched on the screens of cinemas, was praised by poets, depicted by artists and photographers. The first nudists appeared, walking naked on the beaches of Koktebel.

Gradually, the porn industry also developed. At first, these products were distributed on videotapes, then they occupied the Internet.

The legal side of the issue

There is a clear definition of pornographic products in the legislation of different countries. These are graphic, pictorial, literary materials, videos and films that differ in an obscene, naturalistic depiction of sexual intercourse. At the same time, the emphasis is on the physiological details and the contact of the genitals. This group also includes numerous sexual perversions (for example, group sex).

Eroticism, on the contrary, is classified as an art whose task is to convey sexual emotions. The main emphasis is on understatement. Sexual desire is not an end in itself. At the heart of eroticism is the emphasis on the beauty of the naked body.

High-quality eroticism appeals to the feelings and experiences of the viewer. In the foreground is the aesthetics, the entourage, a certain idea that affects the course of the photo shoot. And, of course, no close-up coitus.
