Nudists of Koktebel - family nudism
Koktebel is called the "corner of freedom", because naturism adherents from all over the CIS flock here. Numerous nudist families travel on trains, seeking to find unity with nature here, an even tan and stock up on impressions for the whole year.
The capital of family nudism
The nudist beach in Koktebel Bay (at its eastern tip) was described by Mikhail Bulgakov in 1925. Many people consider Koktebel to be the unofficial capital of world naturism. The territory of freedom is spread out behind a nondescript stream flowing near the recreation center "Chemist".
The world that considers itself civilized stretches to the west of the stream and boasts restaurants, hotels, boarding houses and other infrastructural delights. "Wild Beach" is the edge of tent camps. Hippies, naturists and wandering philosophers live here. The center of the beach is marked by Junge Hill - it is here that Eduard Junge, a pioneer of Koktebel summer residents, is buried.
In addition to the crowded "wild" beach, where family nudists sunbathe, there are many smaller and inconspicuous ones in Koktebel. Coming here on vacation with children is a common phenomenon. Koktebel has managed to raise more than one generation of freethinkers who prefer to live without embarrassment and without regard for official morality.
What to do
Free morals and a creative atmosphere are the distinctive features of the village under the Kara-Dag Mountain. Visiting "textile workers" calmly spread towels on the beach next to naked bodies. This sudden tolerance is perhaps unique not only for Crimea, but for the whole of Europe.
There are a lot of interesting activities in Koktebel. To start at least with the cult jazz festival - the highlight of the velvet season. Imagine an incredible open air, attracting fans of live sounds from seven countries. Music pours from several separate venues, and sometimes naked bodies flash in the crowd.
The poet Maximilian Voloshin is considered the founding father of Crimean nudism. A mountain with his grave stands above Koktebel. It will also be interesting to visit the "Literary Cafe". This is a corner where the local bohemians hang out. Having a conversation with a random interlocutor, you can discover an underground artist or writer.
Gliding enthusiasts will also like it here - Koktebel was considered the largest center of "soaring" in air currents back in Soviet times.
In the evening, it will be nice to relax in the Zodiac restaurant - it's cozy there, quiet electronic music plays, sometimes Russian rock. The design is stylish, the staff is friendly, the menu includes Japanese and European cuisine.
Neptune Day or the Naked Parade
The "naked" movement in Koktebel is famous for its traditions. Probably, this is why family nudism has become an everyday phenomenon here.
The guy can't lie on the sunny beach by the sea and just sunbathe, he wants to move around and shake his body a little. Having climbed the mountain, he begins to look around everything. Suddenly, his attention is attracted by a group of naked people a few hundred meters away from him.
The reaction of the authorities is amazing. The village head once called the Naked Parade a "positive moment". It is difficult to imagine a more democratic society than what was formed in Koktebel. The authorities are happy with what is happening - a strange action attracts tourist flows to the resort.
By the way, do not be afraid if you meet Lyudmila Korotikova on the embankment - a cult personality selling mysterious grass with an obscene name.
