Croatia is the undisputed world leader in the naturism industry. Surprisingly, the herald of the movement at one time was Edward VIII, the king of Britain and the overthrower of the foundations. We first heard about the nudists of Croatia in 1953, when the country's borders were opened for tour operators organizing naturist trips. Naturism was already known in Europe, but it was practiced within the walls of closed clubs. Now, in terms of the density of wild beaches and resorts per capita, Croatia firmly holds the leading position in the world.

Nudists are allowed to sunbathe everywhere-in numerous closed bays and in specially designated areas. At the same time, you can easily meet a naked person on the street or on the territory of an ordinary beach - this is considered the norm here. Noisy tourist places can also boast of nudist centers. They rest topless on the island of Supetar, in Cavtat, in Mlini and on the island of Lapud.

Istria - the promised Land

The Istrian Peninsula is where the true paradise for nudity is. The resort "Coversada", located at the mouth of the Limfiord, attracted naturists back in the distant 60s. The complex occupied a vast plot of 120 hectares, covered with broom, pine and olive trees. There is a restaurant on the island where you can go naked and have a delicious lunch.

Nearby is the iconic Valalta resort, which has been awarded an international status. And this is not all it ends with. The Vrsara nudist complex is the largest in Europe. Beaches

• Medulina. Located near Pula, it occupies 190 kilometers along the coast. A historical area with a lot of attractions.
• Red Island. A whole system of beaches, swimming pools, hotels, bars and discos. Here you can go sailing and diving in a natural suit.
• Lapud Island. A magnificent sandy beach.
• The village of Bol. There are two beaches here - Paklina and Zlatni Rat.
