Attitude to nudists and naturists in society
We are used to seeing naturists and nudists as some kind of eccentric people who adhere to strange views. But naturism is a whole philosophy. There is a certain internal culture on the" wild " beaches, there is even an unspoken nudist code.
Hidden contradictions
Exhibitionists and nudists are often confused even in relatively civilized countries, putting both on the same level. The difference, meanwhile, is quite significant. The former seek to shock the public, the latter live in their own world, ignoring society with its ossified foundations.
Someone considers nudism a mental disorder, someone does not think of himself outside of this subculture. So what is the essence of the rejection of a different worldview by the" textile workers"?
The concept of social norms is very relative - these very norms are subordinate to the society that developed them. From early childhood, we are taught that certain parts of the body are taboo, they can not be shown and must be carefully hidden from prying eyes. Nudists in society are persona non grata.
Now, for a second, imagine that we were raised in the bowels of another society - the Australian Aborigines, for example. Or-in an African tribe. It is not customary to pack in a pile of clothes here - and there is no sense in this, because it is hot. A European person wearing trousers, a shirt and a hat will cause confusion and smiles in such a society. Do you see how the angle of view has changed? Everything is relative.
Naked body
A couple more interesting facts. The gradation of the" indecency " of the bodily areas is a vague scale. In the East, a girl first of all tries to cover her face, in France three centuries ago it was a shoulder, and in China it was a foot. So why this blind adherence to the canons and rejection of dissenters?
A person can admire an object of art - an antique statue or a model captured in a Rembrandt painting. But if there is a living tribesman next to him, who has discarded unnecessary covers, conventions will prevail over the craving for beauty.
Meanwhile, naturists are not perverts and maniacs. They profess their own cult of nudes, but they also do not want to break out of society - they oppose sexism, slavery, globalization and the killing of animals. Most naturists are committed vegetarians. Artists without clothes perform on stage, artists see a potential art object in a naked body. Shocking here does not play a significant role, the opposition to dull taboos is put forward to the fore.
Beyond the sea
Nudism, as a phenomenon, was talked about in Germany about a century ago. Society and nudists were already in mutual confrontation at that time. Later, nudism moved to France and Scandinavia, then spread throughout Europe.
However, not everywhere naked people feel like outcasts. In Spanish Catalonia, a law has been adopted according to which nudity is considered a form of clothing. Therefore, having dropped everything superfluous, you can walk around the central streets of Catalan cities. But in Portugal, on the contrary, the mores are puritanical - even on" wild " beaches, it is considered indecent to sunbathe topless.
In Germany and Denmark, people do not use curtains, and there are no undressing booths on the beaches. And in Koktebel, "textile workers" calmly sunbathe next to nudists on a common beach. Naturist villages are being built in different parts of the world.
Gradually, society gets used to the nude culture - slowly but surely.
