The name of photographer John Swannell is not for nothing one of the most high-profile in British photography. Thanks to his innovative works and infallible professionalism, Swannel has remained the most popular photographer among the public and leading publications for 35 years.

John Swannell was born in London in 1946. At the age of 16, he became an assistant at Vogue Studios, then worked for David Bailey for four years before setting up his own studio. Swannell spent the next 10 years traveling the world, photographing for such publications as Vogue, Harpers

Swannell is also known as the official photographer of the royal family. During his career, he managed to make portraits of almost all its members, and in 1994, Princess Diana personally asked him to take her with her sons.
