XIX century-the dawn of nudism
At the end of the XIX century, two books that later became the nudist bible became widely distributed in Europe - these are" Nudity "by Heinrich Ingevitter and "Kul of Nudity" by Heinrich Pudor. These two authors had no idea how important these books would be for the progressive intelligentsia of that time. The sexual revolution has swept Europe.
What was written about in these books? Their main idea was that modern man, having forgotten his roots, is moving away from the wild nature, he has become very dependent on housing and clothing. For psychological "recovery" from addiction, you need to turn to the natural aura, and you can only feel it completely undressed. It is worth mentioning that the clothes of that time were radically different from the current one, bathing suits were more like night pajamas, and no one dared to reduce the consumption of fabric on them, and here these bold thoughts about the complete bareness of the body.
Soon nudism became an indicator of a person's culture. Any figure of culture, art, science, an aristocrat was considered backward if he adhered to conservative views.
The Russian Empire did not stand aside, and created the first nudist society in St. Petersburg, which included Nicholas II himself and his wife.
