The history of naturism - the movement for nudity.

The concept of nudity has not been sacred for nothing since ancient times. The famous Olympic Games in ancient Greece were usually held among naked participants. Many of the well-known pagan rituals required nudity: one of them, for example, implied protection from a threat that came from outside (invasion or infection). In this case, the naked inhabitants of the tribe were harnessed to a plow and plowed the land in a circle from the village.

In the distant times of the life of Alexander III, or Macedonian, the peoples of Jainists, ascetics originally from India are described. They refused to clothe the body in leather and fabrics, for which the inhabitants of Greece called them "naked sages". Jainism is still alive to this day: in his homeland there is a group whose name can be translated as "dressed in air/light". In this religious trend, it is considered that nudity is a sign of liberation from the mortal world. With the advent of Christianity and its rejection of the body, the" cult " of nudity sank into oblivion. The first attempts to resurrect him were made during the Renaissance - as a symbol of rejection of the traditions of mortification of the flesh and unity with nature.

The birthplace of naturism can be considered Germany, where the so-called culture of the free body was born in the twentieth century. His father is usually called Elise Ferclu, a scientist and anarchist originally from France. It was he (before the Germans) who was the first to identify nudity and sociality. He not only argued the physiological and moral aspects of the issue, but also presented to the world fabrications about its further influence on history and cultural geography.
