Although the philosophical trend of nudism took shape in Germany in the 19th century, at the beginning of the twentieth century only the first sprouts of this trend broke through in Russia. An unprecedented sensation in 1907 was made by the famous dancer Isadora Duncan, who appeared on the stage naked. After the revolution, from the 20s to the 80s, nudism was considered a crime. Since 1985, naturalism in Russia has been gaining momentum, attracting new ideological supporters.
